For the last several years, I've kept two 55" Festool guide rails hung from a hook in my shop. Periodically, I would connect the two for long cuts in sheet materials. I would take them apart for storage.
Recently, I've found it more convenient to keep the two guide rails connected and I've stored them by leaning against a wall in by shop. I've been concerned that they could get damaged if they were to get knocked over.
Today, I finally worked out a way to hang them from the 12 foot high wall in my shop. (It would not work for me to simply use a hook in the wall because lining up the hole in the guide rail with the hook in the wall 11 feet in the air would be very difficult.)

First I made a 6 inch disk with a 45 degree taper that I could attach to the guide rail with a 1/4 20 screw and knob.

I then attached matched receiver to the top of the wall in my shop.

I also attached a spacer with a cutout for my Betterly Straight Line Connector and for the disk (when I'm using the guide rail) within reach lower down.

Hope this is helpful to someone.
