Whats the difference between long life Hepa filter and the one that comes with the CT33 machine?? it looks the same to me....

O.k........ kidding aside, the "long life" does not say "long life Hepa", it's just says "long life".

Good question though, in both versions they both even have the same wiggly section in the rubber lip of the left filter.

What is interesting, is that they give the micron opening for the hepa filter but not the "one buck more" long life filter.

It's a mystery.

....And then there is the subject of the "Main filters", which gives no indication to the micron opening either.
(note that the spec tab is empty)

OK, now that you have me going,

I know what the difference is between the "Long life" bag below, and the paper bag.

But what is the material difference within the "long life" filters above?

Does that mean they are made of a fabric material?

Can they be blown out without damage?

It would be nice to have the micron specs.

In order to compare.

My guess is that the Long Life filters are similar to those produced for regular shop-vacs, where they are treated with a Teflon-like coating. This allows them to shed dust cake more easily, and many can even be rinsed-off in the sink! If I can venture another guess, the Long Life filters are probably 1-micron, whereas I think the HEPA filters are 0.3 micron (?).

You really can`t tell the difference by looking at them  :-\ I was just wondering,it seems to me something should be different...I guess its a money thing.When I was younger and worked as a soda jerk at a Drive in Ice cream shop,We had a shake and a malt.The difference was what kind of a straw you put into the cup,a striped straw was a malt(boss was to cheap to buy malt flavoring) and a solid straw was a shake....people couldn`t tell the difference either just new one was better then the other....I think somebodys playing this game with me again....

Wouldn't be the first time the online catalog used the same picture for two different items.
