Long life filters

Has anyone changed the hepa filters to the long life filters?  My hepa filters in my C-22 are looking a darker color and i was wondering if there is an advantage to the long life filters. I do all my work on sight because i do remodeling. There is not enough room in the truck for two vacuums so the C-22 gets used with the Kapex and the 55 also for job sight clean which sometimes means drywall and plaster dust or what ever else is laying around.

No idea. I use my ct just like you do. I just changed my
hepas after 2 years.  May want to keep those hepas in there
for the rrp stuff coming up.

i think you may be getting the long life filter bags confused with the hepa filters.
as far as i know, there is no upgrade for the hepa filters, they really are that good.

maybe forrest can sort this one out...

Here is a screenshot from the Festool USA website showing filters:

There is a long life filter for the CT-22.  Not that it is not a HEPA - it is a cloth filter with a special "M" fold.

I have no idea about those filters.
Why do they have those, and what are they for?

Apparently they're good for anything that has a tendency to clog the filters ie. plaster dust etc. see here Festool CT Accessories and Consumables.mp4
