I'm looking for a 2.5"-3" cut, 15° vertical router bit, but have found none.  Anyone have any idea of where I might find this kind of bit?  I'd like to be able to do tabletop undercuts on my CMS, and I think this might be one good way of doing it successfully.  Thoughts?

I have a horizontal raised panel bit that does the 15° cut, Richard, but it only leaves a ~1-1/4" long bevel.  The CMS has a small flange inside the fence well (left side) that I presume has some relationship with dust collection.  This flange restricts the use of the 15° raised panel bit due to the 3-3/8" OD of the bit.  I'm thinking that a session with a die grinder is in order so that I can raise the bit further and take full advantage of its capabilities.  Not even that will get me the 2-1/2" - 3" bevel undercut that I want.  Only a vertical bit can possibly provide the length of cut that I'm looking for.  The short-cut bit is fine for doing sink cutouts, but just doesn't have the length I need for the purpose intended.

Willy,

It's not the most economical route but I can have one custom made for you? I would need you to work up a drawing to see what the cost would be.

With your luck lately...you will probably find one.  ;D

I dont know of a bit that not for a shaper...

There is a workaround for this problem. You can clamp an extra fence with a gap wide enough to accommodate the router bit to the front of the CMS fence and line up the bearing with the front of this new fence.

Matt, I'll give you a call in the morning.  As for the luck, I should have taken Allen to the 7-11 to get a lottery ticket...

Understood, Richard.  The flange mentioned earlier met the Great Big File this afternoon, and is no longer an issue.  The bigger issue is that the 3-3/8" OD bit is about as large as can be used in the OF 2200.  A vertical bit might resolve this in combination with a tall supplemental fence attached to the fence on the CMS.
