looking for a limited use clear epoxy.

I use clear epoxy for wood knot filling and end grain protection on garden benches. The one I use now mixes, not 50/50 but by counting the pumps on a can. I'm not very good at this. I was wondering if anyone knows a product that mixes and stores easily. Preferably  sold in smaller quantities.  Thanks

I have used the two-part epoxy in the little double tubes by Gorilla and others. I mix a little at a time on a flat piece of plastic or the like and mix some very fine saw dust from the wood I am using and have had excellent results.

It's important that if the defect is large not to try and fill the void all at once but to layer it to avoid air bubbles getting trapped. I do this with a small piece of scrap wood and dab it into the repair final layer I leave a bit proud so I can sand it off.

System 3 has 2 part that very clear and highly rated. They have a system with pumps that makes it 1 pump of each to mix. Available at stores like wood craft. I've used it a lot based on a test a canoe builder did where it out performed west systems as an exterior coating for his hand built custom canoes. Of course all epoxies are sensitive to ultra violet light and need to be reapplied over time. The system 3 was best in his test after like 2 years of continuous exterior exposure it began to fail, but was the winner.

I've been having good luck with the Raka table top epoxy. Very forgiving on mix ratio and much cheaper than the West Systems.

Might consider looking into measuring the ratio by weight. It may not be the same as the volume ratio but you can get accurate digital scales for ~$20. Measure resin out, zero, measure hardener. Not too bad if you do 100g increments.
