And here are the photos, not pretty, but fully functional. Mine is a workbench with a MFT-style top. I attached to the 2” x 4” legs. You will have to come up with an attachment method for the MFT legs.
Easily fabricated in less than 15 minutes using a jigsaw after cutting the MDF blanks. They were meant to be temporary, but I’m not motivated to re-do them to look nicer.
The top photo shows one of two hooks. They are identical and about 3’ apart. Made from 3/4” MDF. The original was modified to add the radius on the outside of the hook after my shin hit the hook. Slightly less painful now.
And the inside of the hook was modified with a radius to help guide the track into the hook. The MDF is soft enough to be sacrificial to the aluminum that the track is made from, albeit a bit crude looking. Aluminum or (worse) steel would not be sacrificial and could damage the aluminum.
Not the best photo to show the track in place, but I would note that the splinter-guard is facing “up” to avoid damage to the soft material.
It is a quick “lift and drop in” to get the track out of my way. As noted earlier, this is not my storage method. I store on pegs, vertically. But the hooks are very handy while working at the bench.
