Somehow i have lost/misplaced the nut and 6.35 collet off my OF1010 router. Spent at least 2 hours in the shed today trying to find it, cursing at myself. I at least still have my 8mm just need the 6.35 set.
Anyone know of an alternative manufacturer that will fit?. I will otherwise have to spend a pretty penny and get a replacement from the Festool dealer. Not sure what size thread for the nut.

Since you referred to it as "6.35" instead of "1/4 inch", I'm going to assume you're somewhere other than the US. I don't really think you're going to find a universal fit style collet, no matter where you are, but I could be wrong. Certainly here in the States, I don't know of any other router that uses the long taper collets that Festool uses. But, I'm surprised to hear complaints about parts pricing. Given the price of the tools, my opinion is Festool is pretty reasonable on parts (at least in the States).

Try your local Shaper Tools. Same MFK/1010 collet is used. Probably the same price, but if you're in a non-price controlled region, it might be cheaper.

At NZ $125 or so its damn expensive here in New Zealand so any alternative would have been be good. I will scour the workshop again, its gotta be somewhere🤔. If worse case scenario as mentioned i can at least use the nut i have from the 8mm one so could just order the collet itself. Trouble is it'll annoy me faffing about like that no doubt.🫤 Thanks guys.
