So awhile back I realized the carcass of our kitchen island had some rot along the bottom of the case due to 14 years of various German Shepherds slobbering water all over the place when they drink.
This weekend was the time to fix it. Removed the island and set it up on the MFT/3. Used the TS55REQ to cut the rot back to where I had good material. Glued and screwed the new maple in place. Milled up some new maple base molding tall enough to cover the seam.
Tomorrow I will cut the miters on the molding and pin it in place.
Did relearn a lesson about getting brand new router bits out of their sales container. This was a Freud bit and the shank was really tight in the plastic base. Should've used something besides fingers to pry it out, have a nice slice on the thumb to attest to my stupidity.
No pics, but I am loving these black and green machines.
