I saw a sales flier for the new TXS drill available from Wurth/Baer Supply in Bethlehem, PA. Isn't this like "Larry's Discount Auto" selling a new Lexus? The Wurth Group is certainly a big company but they have a reputation for customer service that is somewhere short of non-existent. I would feel more comfortable with Home Depot or Lowes as a Festool dealer. At least they have people who know what a drill is. Why not Walmart? They might not have much of a knowledge base in their staff but at least they do have customer service.
There is a Woodcraft store a few miles away in Allentown. They have knowledgeable staff and offer free classes on various woodworking topics. It is a shame they have to compete with the likes of Wurth.
