I just ordered my LR-32.
the order:

1- guide plate - 90.00
1- 42"guide rail w/ holes  - 72.00
2- longitudinal stops (end stops) - 25.80
1- 5 mm brad point bit- 23.00

Total price = 210.80

I plan on making a MirkoJig TM for the rail so I dont have any use for the lateral stops. I also have a drill press for drilling out the cup hinges so I didnt have a use fo the 35mm router bit. I have a sys-1 but may just hang the plate on the wall.
I feel pretty good about not paying the outlandish price of 406.00 for just the kit with no rail. I could have purchased the 95" rail and paid about the same price as the kit.
I just thought I wouid share.

Eiji,

I'm anxious to hear what you think of it. I'm bidding on a decent sized cabinet job and the idea of this purchase is floating around in my head. I'm also looking at this.http://megproducts.com/basic-bore32.html

Would you be interested in trying out a laser measuring tool week or two?

Email me,

Nice savings,  ;)  it seems that going alacarte on the LR 32 my be just the solution for many potential buyers who are turned off by the complete package price. But can still achieve the full benefits of the 32mm System. I think you will like the product and your choice to go this route. And besides you can always purchase more parts if needed.

I am looking convince myself I need this system to make cabinetry for my shop and box van.  If I bought what EIJI bought and then got a 32mm bit would I still be able to drill 5mm shelf holes and 32 mm cup hinges, or would there be still more accessories I'm missing.  I have plenty of clamps and don't have any shelf or hinge jigs and no drill press at the moment.  I spent my net worth on starting a shop this past summer and on festools and really need to have a moratorium on tool spending this year.  I want to go with the LR - SYS  for obvious reasons, but I won't see any monitary return on building cabinets for anyone in the near future and the rockler/woodcraft type jigs seem more economically feasible.  I want to learn the system from Brice, Mirko, and Overtime and have found that me, my laptop, and my shop works great for learning and if there are any problems I need to work out, it's best to do them now.  I do home remodeling and install lots of homeowner chosen vanities and would like to start offering built ins and cabinetry, etc. to my clients, most of which can entertain those ideas.    My only real woodworking experience is a cabinetmaking class at the local woodcraft where I built a bookcase with a $20.00 jig.  I have been in the contracting business for my entire life and simply put, is the juice going to be worth the squeeze.  Matt if you would like to move this to the members section under erics life story it would seem appropriate, thanks

Eric, I'd recommend getting the $178 set and then get the bits you want. And yes with the 35 mm bit you can drill hinge cups with the LR32.

Eiji, I think the side stops are worth having even if you want to use a "Mirko jig".

thanks brice, it seems like if I'm not using LR 32 sys on site, it could be housed in one of the drawers underneath my jumbo mft I'm building.  I've turned many friends on to Skillers workwear, thanks again for having that on your site.

Eric, I store my LR32 stuff in a Systainer with the diced foam inserts, works great. I love my Skillers tool belt, first rate piece of equipment!

I will probably get the systainer also, damn german ingenuity.  do you have their pants with knee pads?

You don't say which router you are going to use the set with. I don't know how you will be able to use the system on a 1010 router without the centering mandrel. The 1400 may be different.

Brice, i only have the 1400 and wonder if any other acc.
The skillers pants with knee pads changed my life and anyone who works off-site owes it to themselves to check them out.  www.skillers.com  "Once you go with knee pads installed in your pants, you will never go back"  I got them sewn into my ski pants also.  The newer ones --http://www.skillers.com/cgi-bin/sto...14x2320&session=47d5e3ad0910c756&L=eng&P=9115 --- are heavenly.  Some of the pants have holster pockets that are like a tool belt sewn in and are an installers best friend.  Between myself and the three guys who work for me, we have every article of clothing they make and if you get something and you don't like it I will send you a refund.

pants have tool belt pockets sewn in and for installation is as quick as an old school
I will refund your money if you don't like them, eric

I too wear the Skillers pants with the Premium knee pads, and I'd NEVER go back to wearing regular work pants again! The Skillers "pirate trousers" are especially nice in the summer, they combine the ventilation of shorts, but still provide the knee pads, plus there's no binding of material behind the knees! I also recently received their new work vest, the 4294, I'll try to get around to doing a review soon.

Tom, i rock the pirate troussers with red, white, and blue suspenders all day everyday and while I may look like I'm in the village people, I'm the most comfortable guy out there.  A rep drove down from Boston to Hartford and outfitted my whole company.  I felt like I was getting fitted for a "nice suit", but then again, I was.  They set me up with an account and I told my guys that I would split costs with them.  Very professional look and I believe the look can make me money.  I don't have stock in this company either.

I forgot, I have one of the vests.  When you wear it with the pants, it looks like a pair of overalls.  The pockets are very conveniently placed and with the ones I have, they give you more holster pockets then you can use.  It keeps you warm too

So?  Are these the ones with two pockets?  One for the OF1400 and the other for the LR32 Guide Rail? ;D
