I'm a hobbyist and I want to build some cabinets.   I'll start with the garage, then laundry room, then my wife's office, then...   They will mostly be frameless.  Ten years ago I made a simple bathroom cabinet, including recessed raised panel doors.

I watched a video demonstrating LR32 drilling the adjustable shelf peg holes.  That was cool.  I read in the specs that it includes the bore the recesses for the hinges.
My question is....does it include a jig to line up the hinges?

Many thanks

It does, sort of...

The stops that you use to align the rail for boring the pin holes also act as stops (496938) for setting up the hinge cups.

We are doing a router demo day this Saturday (Including the LR32 system)  If you are anywhere near Paramus NJ you are welcome to come, if not we hope to have some videos that will show exactly what you are asking about.

Hi Ken,
That sounds pretty good.  Sounds like if you keep track of the holes you use for the cups you should be banked.
I'd love to see the videos.

Thanks for the invite but I've been wearing shorts and sandals for the last 60 days with no plans to change.  Yes.  I wear sandals in the shop. [eek]

I think it is if you plan to build so many cabinets. One of the members (Erock) has an excellent video series on using LR32 and building cabinets.
You will need a "holly rail" and OF1010 or OF1400 router to use LR32.
I do own both routers and I like interface of OF1400 to the LR32 base a little more user friendly.
FYI I am building garage cabinets right now using LR32 (in shorts and crocks).
If you decide to use cabinet legs that Erock is using, they can be ordered from IKEA (I think). Let me know if you need the part number.

I have the OF 1400 too.

I'll go looking for Erock's vid.
I was planning on using recessed toe kicks, but I'll check out the legs.  It just hit me..... with legs or a support structure, I could store my veneer under the cabs......    hummmm
Many thanks for your response.

The LR32 system can also be used to make holes for bookcase shelf pins or any item that needs evenly spaced 5mm holes.

It's a great tool. I use it quite frequently and it replaced a whole bunch of crappy equivalents. It does take some time to get the configuration right, but there are some online guides showing you how to do it. The manual only makes sense after you have learned how to use the LR32.

EROCK's Series on the LR32 and Building Euro cabinets is just Amazing!

Worth it? Hmmmm, maybe.

The complete set was not worth it to me so I just bought the plate for $115 ($130 after the price hike). With this plate and some careful measuring, you can accomplish everything the set does. A couple of very simple jigs and workarounds will give you perfect results. I used the parallel guide for my OF1400 to set my hole distance from the workpiece edge for example. I drilled hundreds of holes this way, exactly where I wanted them.

I got the set secondhand with a 1400mm holy rail and I love it. Outrageously expensive, even used, but such a neat system. Only used it couple of times but it's so nice and accurate.

Also the EROCK video's really helped me, whenever I use it I'm always saying out loud "16 up and out" :)

You can also use it to drill the 35mm holes for the hinge cups. I also use a Blum template (like this one http://www.blum.org.uk/shop/hinge-jigs/blum-inserta-hinge-drilling-jig-30301/) to perfectly align the screw holes for the hinges.
