I've been talking back and forth with Sal @ The Shipstore and we've been talking about meeting sometime. We both live about 1 1/2 hours from The Tool Nut so we decided to meet up there this past Monday. I had a great time hanging out and chatting! My wife isn't really into tools, so my conversations with her are one way and she just doesn't get excited like I do.
While we were there, of course I got to meet Sean Ackerman! Sean is a great guy & I've had some phone & email conversations with him. I've made online purchases from all of his companies: ToolNut & FestoolProducts and SystainerWorld. I wanted to meet him in person and peruse his store. I have to say that their brick & mortar is a great store. Aside from an excellent Festool display & demo setup, they have many tool choices & accessories from all of the other brands of tools! Aside from the RO 90, one of my treasured purchases was the Micro Fence Grrripper. This little hold down is awesome for feeding stock through a table saw, router, shaper, etc. They had a video playing in store at the checkout area and I was immediately drawn to it. I do want to keep my digits and this is probably one of the best $70 I've spent in a while! If you're close enough to Tool Nut, it's definitely worth the trip! If you're not close enough, his shipping speeds are amazingly fast and all of the guys there have great knowledge & awesome personalities as I heard them interact with their customers!
Sean & Sal spoke so highly of the RO 90 that I figured it was time for me to try it. All I can say is that is one amazing little sander! They were both actually surprised that I don't own any of the Rotex sanders...now I do [tongue]
I definitely hope to have some sort of FOG meet...I love to meet people and talk shop and trade thoughts and ideas...I hope to meet some more of you soon!!!
