Magnet to fit T-Loc label recess?

I currently use a very strong magnet I removed from a Magnetron from a microwave to magnetize my screwdrivers.  I'd like to utilise one of the label recesses on the T-Loc systainers to hold a relatively strong magnet.  In an ideal world I would love a strong magnet that fits perfectly into the label field?

Does anybody have any ideas? I'm looking online at the moment and you can make custom fridge magnets but the magnets seem to come in standard sizes, I would imagine finding one that will fit perfectly in the label field might be tough?

Welcome to the FOG.  I haven't done what you are suggesting, but those magnet sheets are available in full size sheets that you could cut to size.

And different thicknesses. You should be able to find what you  want. Internet or probably a craft store like AC Moore. Google for magnetic sheets , you will get a whole bunch of results.

Have you tested a similar magnet to see if it will do the job?  Those sheet magnets are not all that strong.

Welcome to the FOG, Mac .

hmm...magnets

photo 3) sheet form is not want you want. Good for truck doors only.
Note: the guy I made those door magnets for has no idea what Festool or FBI is.

photo 1) We use these on patterns at the shop. 30 sometimes. They will gauss a screwdriver.

photo 2) Good timing as I'm making a bit case scratching my chin what to put in.
My Festool prototype is available for $70.

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies and welcoming.  The sheet magnets are not really strong enough to magnetize a screwdriver, not to worry, I'll keep thinking.  I was trying to keep the overall profile of the systainer without whacking a great big magnet on the side, I might still mount it on the inside.

Google search for rare earth magnets, these are the Mack truck of the magnet world.  I use Magswitch units (they make units big enough to sheet steel and my 115 lb daughter used to work with a water drainage service and used a wheeeled lever unit to pick up cast iron drain covers weighing hundreds of pounds).  I do commercial door and locksmithing work.  I use the 150's and 400's to hold templates and panic devices in place for attachment.  They also great for stops and guides on  a table saw.
