Makita 1/2 Sheet Sander adaptor for CT 36 hose?

I have been considering buying the Makita 1/2 sheet sander.  It has a dust collection port that is apparently just less than 1" OD.  There was an adaptor that would connect the sander to a CT 27mm hose - the Fein step adaptor.  However, the adaptor that fit is now obsolete, and no one is carrying it any more.  The new Fein adaptor looks to have a hose-side connector that clips onto Fein hoses.

Does anyone know if there is a good adaptor that will allow me to use the Makita sander with a CT hose?  By good adaptor, I mean tight fit, and would prefer rubber or flexible plastic.  Tape won't do - I have to switch tools on the vacuum too often.

the small end of this will work. just cut it off the piece.
