Is anyone familiar with Makita 18v dust extractor? It's the DVC350Z. It's not available in the USA but can be ordered and shipped here through Toolstop. It seems to work as a vacuum, a dust extractor, and a blower when needed. Also could someone help with the CFM of this vacuum, Im not familiar with the suction measurement and can't seem to find a online conversion from KPa to CFM. Here is the link:  http://www.toolstop.co.uk/makita-dvc350z-18v-cordless-li-ion-vacuum-cleaner-dust-extractor-blower-body-p70836

Thanks

I don't have one but a mate i work with from time to time does and i did consider it but after using his i didn't think it worth the money.

I wouldn't call it a dust extractor it is mainly a chip collector and my friend uses his attached to his cordless planer to trim panels inside without making too much mess.

I have the same Makita planer and bought a dust bag and i seem to catch as much chips and dust as he does and the bag is less of a hassle in use than the trailing hose of the extractor.
There is a new 36V (18v x 2) AC/DC makita vacuum being released soon and i would recommend waiting for that before committing.

The specs say it does 3.4 cubic metre per min which is appro 120 cfm and it probably achieves this with no hose or bag connected..

The Kpa is a pressure reading of max vacuum and not really significant because it is only achieved when the hose is blocked.

Thanks for all the responses. SAE yes that is the vacuum that I want. Do you know when it will be released?

On battery it only delivers 74CFM and on mains it is 127CFM. On battery it is 70 watts compared to a CT at 1200 watts  [crying]

No clue. It doesn't seem to have been picked up on any English speaking blogs/sites at all. I'm guessing more than 12 months, because that's about how long the delay is for most their stuff vs. when they were released in Japan.
