I recently purchased a Carvex PSC420 and so far am pretty happy with it, a couple of niggles but enjoying using it and loving the lack of cables.

A workmate of mine turned up yesterday with a new Makita 18v battery jigsaw though and I have to say it seemed great. He said it was brushless and it had a rubberised barrel grip, felt very comfortable to use and cut square (albeit it was only 18mm laminated panels). I think it's the DJV181 though looking online I see there is also a D handle version. He's also purchased a couple of 5.0ah batteries to use with it.

Anyone used one, thoughts on it?

I have plenty of Makita 18v batteries as I run their drills, impacts and SDS.
Tempted to buy one bare and have it as a back up as my jigsaw is used daily.

It's not a tool I use for work but I always reach for my 14.4v barrel grip makita in over my carvex, which is the only festool I own that I dont feel any enthusiasm for using.
