Given the really low prices on the Makpacs, which are either licensed or cloned original systainers, are they worth investing in? I would love T-locks but they are just too expensive to move my entire collection to.i have a dozen or so Tough Systems, a few L-boxxes, and 1 makpac with the track saw.

I've got about a dozen makpac cases now and none came with a tool purchase. I run Bosch cordless gear but the lboxxes are useless when using a festool extractor so I sold them and replaced with makpacs and made my own inserts with some foam cut out on a scroll saw.

Are they as good as a tanos tloc? No. Can I live with the extra 6 seconds to open a box in lieu of a 66% saving per box. Yes. They sit on the extractor and underneath current gen tlocs so compatible with my workflow.

Yes T-lock are better than classic Sys but the Macpacs are better than the classic Sys because the sides of the latches are better formed and don’t require a pry bar to open.

The one negative about the Macpacs is that the spacing of the holes on the business side of the latches is a little long so when you pick up a few attached Macpacs you have to pull out a few mm of slack before the bottom one starts to move. Not a big deal.
