Makita XGT (40V) belt sander coming

I'm not sure if ~12 minutes of run time for a cordless belt sander is going to impress many people!

The new Makita is said to be coming with a frame and clamps so you can flip it upside down .. so some useful accessories.


I've always felt a power socket is an important consideration when I'm reaching for a belt sander, but I do like the idea of this.

Thanks for sharing. I have a few of the XGT tools, a belt sander would be handy for certain on-site, exterior work, particularly when paired with my GCV04 XGT dust extractor.

Makita has a nice looking range of orbital and random orbit XGT sanders coming soon as well. The platform is fleshing out well, and it's great to see Makita expand the woodworking offerings.
