I have no 18 volt Festool tools so a Festool battery track saw is 820. I own lots of Makita stuff so have batteries and chargers. Need a battery track saw for garage and outdoor use to break down sheet goods so thinking of the Makita to use on my Festool tracks. The 350 price is nice for this!
Can the Makita be adjusted to get close to the precut Festool rubber on the track? I would like to use a few of my tracks with both saws if possible but don’t want to ruin the edge rubber. I looked online at the Makita manual but it only mentions the adjustments for how snug the saw is on the track - not for parallel type adjustments or movements.
Thanks - Pete

The Makita is adjustable. I have done mine so it matches my electric Makita and my Festool Ts 75. The Festool blades will fit the Makita but the Makita blades are about a 1/4” bigger so I don’t think they will fit the Festool.

That will make only 1/8" difference in the radius. Riving knife on TS saw is adjustable for sure. I wonder if you could move it further away to fit Makita blade.

Oh and are blades interchangeable between the saws?
As mentioned by others Festool blades will fit the Makita but not the other way round since the Makita blades are larger.
If you fit the smaller Festool blades you would lose max depth of cut though.

However, you will find that you won't need to change blades with the Makita cordless saw.

With the included 56tooth blade you can cross cut and rip cut even in thick exotic hardwoods without any problems.
