OMG! The future has arrived! Thumb lever for blade guard is a nice touch.

Thanks
Mike
There is a lever next to the front handle that you push with your thumb to open blade guard. No need to let go and reach over to the blade side of the saw. HK and Mafell saws have it. Very convenient.

Nice - that is a clever idea for any circ saw but especially for one used on a rail. My XSH08 does not have that feature and as stated above makes it a little difficult to start a cut on the rail.

I bought one of these. Very nice saw!

Couple things I don't like or need to get use to:

1) the bas is soooooo long you need lots of rail space to get both rail adjusters engauged.

2) This surprised me - it is quieter than my Makita cordless track saw and my Makita cordless XSH08Z (XSH10Z's little brother) until you begin to cut the wood. Then it is MUCH noisier. Maybe blade dynamics?

Overall I really like this saw.

Mike

Funny, Makita has already quietly released two awesome saws that run on Festool rails since Bosch began marketing their vaporware “strong arm” 7 1/4” that runs on Mafell rails.
