Anybody but me received the email from McFeely's for an assortment of their square drive screws packaged in a Systainer 1? It's $85 (including the systainer). Doesn't sound like too bad a deal to me. What do you guys think? I'll try to dig out the link if I can. 1300-FMZ is one of the item #'s. I'm not sure how to post links yet on this site. ???

Ordered two today.  It is classed a Festool item so shipping was free as it was over 150.00us.

If it's a Festool item I am outta luck!!!! I say open up the borders! Let's get some Free Trade going.

Disgruntled Dan! >:(

That works out to 26.00 for the 1300 screw assortment, the two screw drivers and two drivers bits.

Not too bad.  Think I'll order one or two myself.

I already got mine today! I ordered the zinc plated.  Nice systainer and dividers and great screws.  I am hoping to get another systainer and fill with my pocket screws and kreg jig stuff.

I like the idea of storing the Kreg stuff.  I have a ton laying about, well, in boxes, which are laying about. ::)

All flat head screws , hmmm.

Too bad the screw collection is not all kreg pocket hole type  :'(  Then I might be tempted.

Might give McFeely's a call and ask about substituting pocket hole screws. All they can say is no. they are a good co. to deal with.

Oh man, here we go. The scales are tipping the other way (NAIOZ). We're screwed Rob.

Bwahahahahahaha!!!! North America strikes back!

Aw heck, it ain't available in Canada either so really it is OAIA (Only Available in America).

Dan

Damn, I got scooped. I just created much the same but with a wider assortment of the new Roberston screws that Lee Valley is offering. The new heads accept square or philips.

This one is so nice, I am starting a second one that is task based...like pocket holes, Confirmat, etc, The Festool Sortainer is a bargain for this use.

I asked about that - they may be doing that in the future.  I sure hope so! ;D

I did the pocket hole one myself a couple weeks ago.  I Bought the systainer 1 with compartments from my local woodcraft and bought a bunch (1000 each) of the 2 1/4 and 1 1/4 inch Kregg coarse screws and then I have an assortment of other sizes.  I really like the way this thing keeps my screws nice and organized.  I am going to order the zinc plated screws from McFeely's.  Any suggestions on whether I should get silver or gold??

Hey guys,

Glad you like the new promotion AND who am I to not hear the voices of my customers?

So here's the deal. Tell me what you'd like as an offering here or in an email (whatever Matthew feels better about doing), and I'll work it up product-wise and price-wise and get it added to the website within the next couple of days.

Let me also make one quick point about those Robertson screws that take either square drive or Phillips. We sell those as well (and have for years). They're called the Recex recess but are more commonly known as a combo drive.

Alright, I better disappear now before I go too far down the road of being a bad retailer when it comes to spamming this general board. Again, just let me know what you'd like to see and I'll expand the offering. In a few days, look for the pocket-hole (both Kreg and McFeely's versions) and confirmat version of this assortment.

Your voices have been heard.

Well, based on that remark, I think I will hold off for a day or so to see what else becomes available.  :)

Thanks Ron.  What would the cost be to just substitute the combo drive screws for the flatheads and leave everything else the same?

Boy are you behind the times!  The major outrage at the moment seems to be that we can't close them.  Anyway, if we made it too easy for you to get Festool stuff, we'd lose out on those incredible border crossing stories and you'd stop winning contests!  Where would we be then? ;D

Trade ya 2 McFeely's boxes for one Kapex (delivered).  Just let me know how you want the screws coated.
