True, but it wasn't a pricing error.  It was more analogous to a store offering an iPhone 5 for half off but having only one or two to sell.

Personally, I am disappointed I didn't get a great deal, but the only thing I feel entitled to is a quick rebate.

One interesting way to test the sincerity of McFeely's is to see if they even log in again to check on this thread.  So far, the last login was on the 8th, 1 day after their response.
 
They made a mistake, they're refunding those affected, they apologized publicly, and as far as I've read so far it is not a repeated pattern of behavior.  Move on guys!  There's a poopload of bad retailers out there that do way more BS in the marketplace than what seems to be an honest mistake here.  At worse, McF's should be on a quasi 'probation' and barring further acts that are similar, this incident should hopefully be forgotten over time as a one-off mishap on their part.

I agree with you Kevin.  Let's stop dumping on McFeely's.

[I did buy a Festool jig saw from them 10 years ago, but have had no purchases since then.]
 
There were/are many good employees at McFeely's and many families that they support. I hope the company is able to bounce back and reclaim their good reputation.

-disclaimer, I did not order in the latest sale and have never bought Festool from McFeely's. I have not ordered from the company in almost a year. My first order up to my last order placed was accurate, arrived on time, with good packaging.
 
Sorry Peter, don't buy it.  Obviously you had a short inventory to work from and you or whoever dreamed up this fiasco had to know it would be exhausted quickly.  If I was Festool I'd yank your franchise.  I'll do the second best thing, vote to not do business with your outfit.
 
Jeez guys... take a deep breath.  I've bought from McF's for years, always had great service and their product variety has always been superb.  Everyone loves a deal but sometimes it's like the lottery.  Keep your expectations low and you'll never be disappointed
 
Rocket is very disappointed in the way things worked out but Rocket will get over it.

 
This was a really stupid situation that's hard to accept. So many things went wrong or were poorly managed that it's hard to not be angry.

But other than that I'm not upset about it.
