I have a number of Festool sanders - including an ETS 150/3 that is great - it is about a year old. Was finish sanding a big project - pieces for a whole wall built in. Had been using the sander on/off for about 3 hours. Unplugged to change pads and noticed that the plug it had melted into the socket on the sander. Both the plug-it and the sander receptacle melted. Sander starts fine (once I had got the plug-it to re-mate with it). Anyone else ever heard of this. Was plugged onto my CT-36.
Thanks in advance
Roger

If you do a search you'll find plenty of posts on the issue of people not mounting the plug-it cords properly.  One in particular I recall from Rick Christopherson explains the issue very well.

Be very careful, your sander could catch on fire.  Don't use the sander and just as importantly don't use the plug-it cord on another tool.  Be sure to call Festool in the morning.
