Sometimes I forget why this is my favorite forum. Going on some other forums for a few weeks has reminded me.

Merry Christmas guys.

Hey, Nick!

We all love you too.  Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a safe and healthy New Year.

Did you use it already Eli? ;)

We're just picking up shreds of wrapping paper in the living room, the carnage was over in seconds. Sent the fat man and his flying rats on the way around the Earth to you. My neighbor just rang and told me to come over and get it out of his garage. I've got a crook knee this week so it may be a week before I do any weed wackerin', I'm still busy hopping to the fridge and back ;D

(sunny and 80F, big family Q at the park today :D )

My best Christmas present was one i gave to my Grandson.
Way back in 1938 or '39 (probably 39, cause I'm only 39), my dad built me a workbench and carpenter's tool box.  A few hand tool also went along with the stuff he made.

A year ago, I gave GS the workbench.  I had to replace some pieces, but it is as solid as new.  This year, i repaired/partial rebuilt, the tool box, a coat of paint and a story to explain the boxes travels over the last 70 years.  Andrew read the whole thing.  I also had the old handsaw down in my shop.  i cleaned that up and added to the pile.  I enjoyed his excitement, along with his serious demeanor as he read the stories that accompanied each piece,  more than anything anybody else could have given me.

I'm pretty sure there's a Sthil weed wacker (whipper-snipper for the southerners) with my name on it, hidden in my neighbor's garage.  ;D ;D ;D

I suppose Eli you mean Australian southerner ? --- I suppose that's about as southern as you can get or damn near it  ;).

P.S.  Merry Christmas fellas and Happy Holidays

No room for tools? I just took over the Den, Dining room and part of the kitchen! Tools are like desserts, you never run out room for them.

Nice Blackberry and congratulations on the new marriage!

It is insane but the 2 of us have a 5 bedroom house with a full finished basement and a 2 car heated garage and I don't have any more room for new tools. I'm going through withdrawal here and I am not having a good time. HAHAHAHA.

Thanks for the good wishes, we have been engaged for 6 years and got tired of everyone asking, "So, when are you getting married?" The 2 of us went out for the weekend of November 15, got married, came home and called everybody up and told them, we are married. They were shocked.

Dave,

Good news!  I just cleared out a portion of basement workshop to help accommodate your overflow. :) ;)

I also wish you the best with your new marriage.  We celebrated #41 in September.

Something tells me that the commute to use my overflow of tools would be a killer, but I do appreciate the offer. I guess I'll have to look for more nooks and crannies to store the overflow. Thanks for the good wishes.
