Have  this  saw  for about a  year  now  and  the GEAR FLANGE COMPL.  {MET-316097300.A3
316097300}  has  just  failed.

Or  to be  more  precise  the  aluminum  thread on  the flange has  failed.
Its  just  soft aluminum    and  has  not  withstood  the  force  needed  to lift  the  blade  carriage  assembly.
I  did  oil  it  a few  times.  [sad]

Some  what  disappointed.  [sad]
The  metabo  engineers  could  do better  surely?
I will order  a  new  one.
Anyone  had  the same  problem?

I  will try a few  engineers  and  see if they  can  insert an  appropriate  steel threaded  bushing  into  the aluminum  cast  housing.

I've had one for a few years without any major issues.

The only problem I've experienced is that the slim onboard spanner is a bit soft to be constantly changing blades.  It 's starting to slip when I put heavy pressure tightening the arbor nut.
