I've been looking at a lot of the really great ideas here on the FOG, particularly jigs and great attachment/modifications to the MFT's. I've looked at things such as:
http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&cat=1,43455&p=52800

Has anyone found a source for the metric equivalents? I'd like to stick with just metric for these parts so that I don't wind up mixing things up and stripping threads. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wish you had asked two days ago. I went to a woodworking show over the weekend here. I could have found a manufacturer. Not that you would have necessarily wanted to ship it from Australia.....

I think Grainger probably carries all that stuff in metric. Or McMaster-Carr.

I deal with Reid Tool quite a bit, excellent people to deal with.
Reid Tool
I would suggest calling and getting a catalog, the ammount of stuff they carry can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know what you are looking for.

Excellent! I found something else I was looking for right on the front page! Thank you.

Though Reid Supply has a pretty good selection, www.nutsandbolts.com offered nearly all the replacement sizes on a metric WW machine of mine. The Woodrat, made in England. I needed cap screws in the various "M" sizes, with an Allenhead wrench socket.

My first thought was that McFeely's would be the obvious choice. But Metrics just haven't made that much of an impact here the U.S.

Yep. I don't work a fraction of an hour ;D

Ace hardware carries a lot of these items as well (if you want to fondle the merchandise)...

Les,

Thanks!!  Now that I see Kipp's logo in the page link you provided, I realized that some of the Festool handles, e.g. those used on Festool's Limit Stops (Item No. 485827) for the Guide Rails, are from Kipp.  I have been looking for a couple of these to substitute for the plastic topped thumb screws supplied with the Side Stops (Item # 485758) for the Hole Drilling Set (Item No. 583290).  The plastic bodies of these stops are the same part number.  I find it difficult to snug the thumbscrews when the Side Stops are mounted on the Guide Rail.
