Hey all,

So I got my nice new TS55 KEBI and forgot it was imperial. Does anyone know if it shares the same scale as the TS55 REQ? If so I can just swap them over before selling :)

Thanks!

The KEB comes with a metric scale sticker in the instruction book (or at least mine did).

Best bet is to look in the Festool EKAT and see if the PNs are the same in normal places (Metric) from the old to new.  Or you might even be able to see if the N.A. version uses the same scale from the old version to the new one. If they share PN, then you can swap them over.

This will be something many people will want to know.

I believe the “old” scale of the “R” version can be used:
There’s no indication to new parts other than adopting to thinner blades. If so, it’ll be the arbor.
The blade diameters are the same.
What differs are riving knife, it’s dimensions, electronics and blade thickness.

My corded “F” version looks everything the same as the one R version I’ve seen before.
It says it’s not compatible with the CMS system though:
After some investigation, I need to drill one whole (they have only filled the pre-cast hole, but the recess and headroom for the bolt to attach the depth adjust arm is still there..)
Riving knife I’ll find a solution for, cause the “original” supplied with the CMS module is not particularly good, it’s purpose is mainly to hold the dust shroud/blade guard.

On my TS 75 I’m looking into the same mod. for use in the CMS module (I want it to “disappear” under the surface of the module when removing the dust/guard - so I can have a flat surface.

The new F can further  be locked “on” with the trigger and it’ll start again via a NVR switch without trigger reset. (That’s probably the reason Festool has “made” it non module compatible; plugging a hole and a note of not being compatible, besides the incompatible thicker “R” riving knife/dustguard holder)

Awesome thank you. I will try and swap them over :)
