I'm new to the forum, but I wanted to get some other points of view on MFK 700.

I have been using mine for a couple of months. With some good and not so good results.

My biggest complaint is the lack of visibility. The dust hood on the horizontal base should be clear plastic.
I really like the option to change bases.
That go me think of other base options.

Here goes.

1. A smaller vertical base like a traditional laminate trimmer that would have an under scribe attachment.
2. A router table base.
3. A vertical base with a larger opening to accept larger bits, like my ogee bit.
4. An offest base.

I am interested in your ideas as well.

I would like to see a plunge base to be used with the LR-32 accessories.

here is a youtube video link to another view of using the mfk 700 to trim the domonios flat with the surface

Sounds like you're wanting this to emulate something like the Bosch Colt installers kit.  I wouldn't mind if they did that, but I don't see that happening.  Maybe other companies will make those accessories for the MFK 700?

Here is another idea. What about a guide fence for the horizontal position. Instead of the sensor bearing.
