I've got an MFK 700 and would like to use it for cutting very small circles (I'm making a guitar and thought it would be good for the sound hole).  I've seen some commerical jigs that work with the MFK 700 but they only go down to 6" or so.  I'd love to hear any ideas for such a jig.

Have you considered making a template? The wood for a guitar is probably somewhat precious.

Get the micro fence jig and don't think twice. Circles down to .50 inches.

The circle jig does the larger 6" and up circles, to get the small circles(1/2" to 12") you need the regular straight edge guide jig with the attachment(center bar and leveler) .

Here is a sale(they do have a model made for the MFK):

For guitars you must go with the best quality and Micro Fence is it.

Thanks Nick!  I'd looked at the Micro fence but only saw their larger circle jig and not the small one.  Great option to use with a great router.

Tom: yes, I figured if I couldn't find one, I would build my own.  I was hesitant in that I tend to over engineer these things and they take way too much of my time rather than actual woodworking.

...

Their product for smaller circles is the Center Bar & Leveler Kit which is used in conjunction with their Edge Guide and can be seen in this video.  The Edge Guide & Circle (Small) package is what you'll need and is currently on sale for $30 off.

Next you'll be wanting Micro Fence to offer metric conversion kits...    [smile]

The jasper jigs really are not jigs, more like a router base that cuts circles. I have them all(well three of them anyway) and they work, but they are nothing like a micro fence jig. Yeah, you can dedicate a router to one or two of them, but I would not want to tie up a Festool router with a jasper as its base. I am going to be selling all three of mine in a big sale I am having so if the jasper interests you let me know.
