Hey all. Wondering if anyone knows why the 240v MKF 700 appears to have been discontinued in the U.K.? On the Festool U.K. site this is confirmed if you search for 574366…only the 110V is available for some reason.

Are there plans to phase it out and replace it with something else that anyone knows of?

I basically want a small router for edge banding, round overs, inserts with templates etc.

I agree that this has disappeared. OFK not looking too promising either according to their website :(

Unfortunately they do quietly retire tools, I've contacted UK dealers before who have been helpful in confirming news like this.

it may be the trasnstion to the sys 3.  simmilar to the T18 SET with all the chucks and stuff  they will just be chainging the SKU but it takes a remarkebly long time

One thought, on the side of what notenoughcash says which is most likely.
(Check the German site for part no’s, they’re all in SYS3 now) A change of what sells as one unit, that be a minor revision, change in included parts or ie systainer will force a new part no’ for the whole unit.

Continuing that thought; Festool could easily have made these small edge routers battery powered. It’s not unlikely that one would appear using the “speciality” batteries made for their sanders.
