mft/3 2008 versus mft/3 now.

Found a used mft/3 with a manufacture date of 2008 on craigslist. I went and looked it over, it was pristine had only one cut on it. Bought it mainly to use to assemble and glue next to another mft/3. Once I set it up, I noticed it was approximately 18mm/ 3/4" shorter than my other two mft/3's.
My question is, does someone know if the earlier version of the mft/3 was fabricated shorter? When did festool make them taller? Did I buy an aberration?
I solved problem by switching out my mft that was on my cms/vl, with the older table and placing shims on the feet on the side you cannot adjust.
Just wondering if someone can shed some light on this for me.

Sounds like what you got is an MFT1080 the earlier version which was lower, a different size and has different ali extrusions.

I think Bohdan is correct. I bought my first MFT about 7 years ago (maybe longer) and I bought my 3rd about 8 mos ago. They are identical

No biggie you can build up the feet in many different ways to level them to the same height.

This probably is NOT a MFT1080 as they are 820mm tall while the MFT/3 is 900mm tall. Also, you really could not miss the fact that the side profiles are different.

Check out the feet on you new-to-you MFT. The rubber feet on the MFTs distort over time if the table is left standing, so maybe the previous owner has done something unexpected...

[member=182]Corwin[/member] thank you for the measurements. It must be the feet. I checked it is approximately 882 mm. I checked under table, again it says mft/3 2008.
Thanks to all others for their help.
I will call festool on Monday about new feet. If not too expensive, I will buy new rubber feet. If too expensive, I will leave shims in place.

[member=62969]lshah72414[/member],  A difference of 3/4" in height sounds like more of a difference than could be explained by the feet being deformed. More likely your new-to-you MFT/3 may have been altered by the previous owner. Maybe they changed out the three 'fixed' feet with something else or even removed the feet, cut down the legs and reinstalled feet such that their MFT would match the height of other tables in their shop. You could measure the legs a check against your other MFT/3s  to verify.
