Well, this morning I had a 'duh' moment with the MFT3. [embarassed]  I couldn't find the wooden vee block I use to cut dowels and other narrow components to length when all of a sudden right underneath my nose after being there about a year, I found it.

Those V-grooves are great. It took me also quite some time to discover this. But now I use it for the quick & dirty saw jobs on small parts. When they are too small to hold, I use a small clamp. Easy-peasy.

The thought did occur to me... I wonder if this is a happy accident or by design?

If it is German, it must be by design.  [big grin]
These V-grooves are intended to fix the position of attachments to the table like a fence.

I also move the table extensions from the Kapex to the MFT and use the upward-facing t-track for clamping small things.
