Christian, when do you or do you expect to be bringing out the MFT/3 basic table. I really need the extra length but would very much like to not have to buy all of the hardware again. Thank you, Fred

Fred,

Christian may have a more definitive time frame but I believe this will be introduced in the fall '08.

We are still waiting for final confirmation. Goal is to start offering the MFT3/Basic in fall, most likely October.

Christian

Shane and Christian, thank you very much for the prompt replies. Excuse me for continuing to push a little here but I truly need to extend, want to buy from Festool and don't understand the delay?? Is it one of so much demand for the standard MFT/3 that your manufacturing plant/s cannot keep up with the needed production? Or do your plant/s need to switch over prior to and right after July 1 to produce the MFT/3 Kapex? Fred

Fred,

It has to do with a number of things. Sorry we cannot provide the table sooner. If something changes in the schedule, we will post it here.

Christian

Fred - from what I hear Festool stuff retains its retail value after use. In fact, several posts have noted that Festool stuff goes for more than retail on ebay. So why don't you get the standard MFT3, and sell the hardware you don't need? Throw in some sandpaper, and you can call it a Festool sanding profile and fence or something exotic like that  :D

Christian, thank you very much. I am sorry to push like that I just could really use the extra one.  :)

Poto, you gots some kind of brains up there. I believe that your Sisyphisian exercise has truly helped you.  :o I would have thought that an exercise program of that magnitude would be......an exercise in futility.  ;) ::) If you need that explained I will be here all week.  :) Thank you that is such an excellent idea it is amazing that I did not come up with it.  :o Fred

Fred - no offense - but I'm not surprised you didn't come up with it. I do have a PhD from MIT, after all.  8)

(Ever notice when someone says "no offense" they mean "offense"?)

Poto, MIT? Isn't that the local Mechanics school??? Jeez, I would ask them for your money back. While they might have taught you how to turn on that computer that analyzes the car's engine (usually in front of the car under the hood) what would cause them to say you need an advanced degree? Well congrats and no worries about me taking any offense.  Oh and if you get out this way maybe you could look at my tires and check them for air.  ;) ;) ;)

Oh Fred. Are you still using a car? With tires? At MIT we used to use time travel, until they banned it. Now we just use our jet packs to get to work. The transporter beam should be operational pretty soon. But only for MIT grads...

Car. How primitive. :P

Poto, jet pack, jet pack, hmmm. Oh yes, I just saw you featured in that Honda Pilot commercial where you ran out of fuel & had to be picked up in one of those primitive cars and driven to a jet pack refueling station. THAT is SOOOOO impressive.  ;) I too would brag about my mechanic degree  and school.  :)

Based on that I think you and your ilk are a number of decades away from the transporter as a means of transportation. Ah, Poto, I am so sorry I keep mistaking your MIT school of "Mechanics, I Think", to the very prestigious school out this way in Mass.  Of course by transporter you mean automobile. However, I do think having your Mascot/monkey scratching his head after the television announcer finishes with Mechanics, I Think  is just slightly over the top for you guys.  ;D :D :) ;) Fred
