MFT/3 + Clamp Set

McFeely's has a MFT/3 with the the 6 clamp set for $725.

Clamp Set Includes:

    * (2) 120 mm screw clamps (489570)
    * (2) Quick clamps (491594)
    * (2) Clamping elements (488030)

Which seems reasonable (well, as reasonable as the black and green gets).  Since Festool has a 'fixed' pricing, I figured I be able to get this just about anywhere. However, the local Woodcraft didn't seem to know about the 6 clamp special (which all the other sites seem to have).

Is this just a McFeely's special??

Think it is a Festool deal so you should be able to get it anywhere, I would think...  Sometimes Woodcraft is not the best of Festool dealers in knowledge...but they try.

There is a 2008 Fall Promotions brochure on the Festool USA website at http://www.festoolusa.com/media/pdf/Promo08Fall_brochure.pdf, but I can't find an link to it from the main website.

The brochure gives details of the $180 MFT/3 Clamp Set (Order No M0079), which is a $14.50 saving on the price if bought individually.

The brochure also gives details of the following promotions:

$180 MFT/3 Clamp Set (Order No M0079) + $575 MFT/3 table  =  $755, so the $725 is another $30 for a big savings of $44.50.

OK, not much overall in the Festool scheme of thing but better than nothing.

Any way they were much better incentives then a 2% discount.  MFK 700 trim router $510.00 - no intro price or rebate. Kapex $1300.00 no intro pricing or rebate.  MFT/3 same deal  -  hmmm

But they do still have the package deals.

McFeely's Clamp Promo with MFT/3 - M0079-495462 arrived this Tuesday.  Given the price of the Basic, I went with the MFT/3 as my second platform. 

If you contact another Festool Dealer regarding the Clamp Promo they should meet the McFeely's price.  I've done this before.       

With the on going financial melt down, possibly in the coming months Festool will offer some type of rebate.  Have to wait and see.  At this point, I have what tools I need for the projects at hand.  The Festool slippery slope.

Darn I bought the MFT and the clamp set at Woodcraft three weeks ago. What I could have done with those few dollars...

Despite the price, those clamps and how they work with the table are in some ways my favorite thing about all my new stuff.

If the promo deal was in effect when you bought yours, they should give you a refund.  Festools pricing is supposed to be the same no matter where you go.  Sometimes, the people at a retail store don't always know everything they should about the promo's that Festool has going.

There are three promo's with the clamps, four if you count the MFT Clamp Set itself.

There's the MFT/3 and MFT Clamp Set Promotion, which is the full blown MFT/3 with the clamps.

There's the MFT/3-Basic and MFT Clamp Set Promotion, which is the MFT/3 table only with the clamps.

There's also the MFT/3-KAPEX and MFT Clamp Set Promotion, which is the MFT/3-KAPEX (the smaller table) only with the clamps.

These promotions are all good until the end of January.
