I heard on another forum it would be available here in August...but this is third-hand news, so don't shoot me if it's inaccurate

Last I spoke to Festool about this was 2 days ago, an official release date is pending. But it is likely to be available sometime between August and October.

As an indication to when I expect it to be available I can say this. I began selling off our workshop demo MFT1080 units in anticipation of August. I have now stopped doing that expecting the MFT3 release to be later than sooner.

Not quite the answer I wanted, but better than "It's not".  Still, gives me time to make more room in the workshop.
