I have read past posts, but I guess my needs are different.
I figured I had all the tools I would ever have and set my shop up (with DC plumbing) accordingly; rearranging would be a pain. But then Ebay has 15% off and I couldn't resist a MFT/3. But I have no place to permanently put it, and would like to have it on casters.
It is now 1" too high to act as an outfeed table for my Sawstop. Putting casters on and lowering it an 1" would require cutting 4.5" off the legs. The casters i have are very stable when locked, and I picked up a pair a stabilizers (also 15% off); so I don't think rigidity will be a problem, and don't expect to ever use it out of the shop.
So, what do you think of cutting the legs off, and are there alternatives i haven't thought of?
