mft3 is out for just the table with no accessories...... it is only 100 less.  so festool is saying that the guide rail, cutting rail, protractor, and all the other things are only 100?

i don't buy that.

I think the table should be about 350,  but then they would have to reduce the kapex table. it does not make sense.

if you want another table I would buy the full set up so I have spares.  what are they thinking

That is the choice I made.  Wanted a second table, looked at the MFT/3 Basic price and thought this is over priced.

Ordered the clamp promo with MFT/3, the fence, rail, and angle unit, etc. for an extra $ 95.00.
Now I can set up in two locations, upstairs, first floor or outside, plus spare parts.

If the basic had a price range of $ 350.00 to 390.00, I might have gone down that road.

Festool pricing is crazy.

Some stuff, like the TS55 blades, are reasonably priced.

Then other stuff, like the rail connectors, are absurd.  $28 for two chunks of zinc-plated steel?  Gimme a break.

The table-only MFT is crazy too.

I wanted a Basic and was surprised by the measly discount.

Bought a complete MFT/3 and auctioned everything but the table. Sold for $220 in about 15 minutes.

Net cost for the Basic, $355.

And now someone out there has the ability to drill holes in a hunk of mdf and make their own table for $220.

Really doesn't make sense, but it works for me.
