I am trying to cobble together an extension table for my MFT/3.  It's based on the Festool extension table #495521.  I would be most grateful if someone could confirm the exact length of the profile identified as #3 in the attached diagram (P/N 473200).

Thanks

Welcome to FOG :) Always good to put your country of origin so when you ask for help folks can offer you websites and links for your country.

Why not just purchase the MW1000 extension table? I have a few complaints with it, but it still functions great as an extension table for an MFT/3. It even nests inside the folded MFT/3, and it is reasonably lite. The dog holes are loosy goosy though, and do not line up at all with the MFT/3 dog holes.

Another option is to just make a table from scratch. It is very easy to cut a hardwood piece to fit into the V groove of the MFT/3 and attach an MDF top to it. Rig some kind of adjustable legs to it and you got a table extension. If it is longer, attach some hardwood to the bottom of the MDF for stiffeners.

Does it lock into the MFT?

Or was it only the CMS / CS 50 it doesn't lock to?

Yes, it locks into the MFT.

The CMS / CS 50 only have the top V profile; nothing to lock on to at the bottom.

I appreciate the prompt replies from the FOG members.  I just recently joined the FOG. I've followed the conversations for several years and am amazed at the breath of knowledge, ingenuity and free exchange of ideas amongst the community.

Thanks Again
