MFT/3 Weight Rating

Can anyone tell me how much weight the MFT/3 can support? I searched the specs and tried various keyword searches here, but so far can't find anything. I utilize my MFT for all the usual Festoolian functions, but I also use it as a general surface for other tasks, including a work table. I need to place a rather heavy item on it and don't want to risk damaging the item or the table.

I don't know of an official rating, but I've seen 250lb guys site on them. No issues.

How heavy is your item?

It's an empty 120 gallon glass aquarium (48" X 24") that weighs about 200 lbs - sounds like it ought to be ok then. Thanks Shane!

The official load capacity for the MFT/3 is 120kg (264lbs).

I put a 3/4" piece of ply on top and sat my new 600+ milling machine on it...no problemo.  I do have self made cross bracing and sys  storage shelves made with 8020 quick frame under it however.  PS, that was just a temp storage over the weekend till I finished the mobile table I made for permanent fixing.

Sounds like I'll be okay with what I'm doing and I appreciate the feedback. I was actually a little surprised I couldn't readily find that number but am glad to have the knowledge moving forward.

Hi everyone, I know this is an old thread but wanting to make sure I ‘do a search first’ moto (I know I will be shot if I have missed a thread with the answer so apols up,front) but has anyone placed a circa 45kg bandsaw on their MFT table and how did it hold up? I can see that the overall weight baring is 120kg for the table but I am assuming that is over the overall dimensions rather than any single position on the table - if that makes sense. I am looking to buy a table top bandsaw that I store under the table and just use as required.

As rst has said higher up piece of 3/4 ply over the top to spread the load if you're concerned

Im 236 lbs and my daught is 130 lbs we both stood on a mft to hang my shop air filter from te over head. No worries.

Never thought about looking for a load rating.

Like others, I would think “short term” weight of the type you describe wouldn’t be a problem.
But... I wonder if that kind of weight on it for a sustained period wouldn’t create a dip “belly” in its flatness/level - Effecting alignment issues. ??
