I'm considering selling my cabinet saw and going with an MFT3 with my TS55 for the majority of my work.  I currently have an 18" bandsaw that would compliment the MFT3 for ripping smaller stock.  I'm thinking I may buy the MFT3 and buy a smaller contractor saw (dewalt) for times when a table saw would come in handy (dados).  any thoughts on this???  Has anyone done this and regretted it?  Reason for this is it would take up less space in my small shop.

The TS and MFT are great. Get a couple clamps and maybe aftermarket precision dogs and go at it, there are endless possibilities for clamping boards for sanding, biscuting/domino cuts, assembly, layout, etc. and the space it takes up is tiny. The hole set in the MFT is surprisingly useful. When you have it set up right it will handle accurate 90 deg cuts all day long.

It is nice to have a good place to put the saw between uses- it slides very easily on most surfaces and will slide off, onto the floor if you kick the vac hose... this could take the saw out of adjustment. i put a rubber mat/shelf liner down on a systainer stack by the table, then rest the saw on it, and this secures it quite well.

got rid of al my stationary tools and dont miss them.

Went for a long time w/o a table saw.

Got the CMS saw module since I moved to europe.
If i wasnt here, i still wouldnt have one
