I kept wondering why it was difficult to extend and then fold the legs back on the full-sized MFT. I have two of them, so I started comparing them and realized that the factory had assembled one of them wrong. You know how one set of legs folds with an inward angle and the other folds with an outward angle?

In my case, the inner-angled leg had been reversed. Which means that it was attached to the wrong set of variable position hinge holds, too.

Anyway, after a quick popping off of the black plastic hand dial, it was an easy fix. It's the first Q/C problem I've ever experienced after purchasing way too much Festool equipment.

David,

That was one of the rare special models designed for shop use only. The leg set up was supposed to be more stable. Item # 975889.
