Sooooo where to I start. I build a MFT cart for my MFT3. Made 3 sections: 2 sections at 425 mm width (400mm systainer tray and 25mm for side mounted drawer slides) and the far right at 325mm for my CT-MIDI. Bought 12 inch drawer slides as that is just over the 300mm systainer tray depth. I was alllllllll happy and installed all the trays with correct spacing and systainers fit in and pull out perfectly. The problem is 12 inch drawer slides does NOT account for the systainer top lid height when opening. I wanted to pull the tray out and open the systainer without taking it out. Then arghhhhhhh all the planning and measuring and cutting didnt account for the lid thickness. I measured the the lid being 1.25 inches in height and i wanted to add a 3/4” thick hardwood front so would 2” longer drawer slides ( 14”) work when i pull the tray out and open the lid fully?
Would 14’ drawer slides work?
