MFT Clamp Drawer

I have posted about this before but there's another good use for the top of this drawer - you can write on paper and not go through a 20mm hole every 96mm so I think this merits a new post as it is an additional enhancement.
I often keep the cutting plan on it. It keeps all the dust out and lots of clamps in. I reckon you could easily get 30 clamps in it as it is as big as I could make it be. Both the Festool screw and the squeeze clamps can be used in the MFT/3 holes above the drawer. It's in a space that would normally not be used for anything and cost very little to make.

Nice.  I like that whole set-up.  It looks like it would be kind of hard to walk by and bump that rail and knock it out of square.

Nice one...

I will never bump in to the guide rail again. It's impossible. Plus there's a bit of extra table at the front you can use any make of clamp on. I'll never accidentally jigsaw in to the MFT profile again.  There's a small block of wood snug next to the guide rail so I can instantly see where the rail goes down that will be exactly over the tab. There's another block of wood left under the rail that when moved slightly forward it raises the rail just enough to allow me to move the sheet or change it without lifting the whole rail to its upright position.

That's pretty sweet - I cobbled up this last Sunday afternoon - I hope to improve it shortly but I just wanted to "clear the deck" - so to speak:
