I was setting up my MFT/3 today and noticed that the bottom flagstop when its flipped up does not reside behind the fence. Hard to explain but if your workpiece is thicker than 36 mm it will hit the bottom of the flagstop and not the fence. You would have to move the flagstop to the left to place it out of the way else it will cause the workpiece to not be in contact with the fence for its full length. In a couple of the photos below I placed a piece of blue paper below the square to make it easier to see the gap at the fence. The blade of the square is in contact with the flagstop, and when it is it's about 1 or 2 mm away from the fence. I didn't have feeler gauges in the basement shop but I folded a dollar bill over in half twice making it four thicknesses thick and it still pulled through the gap easily. I could solve the problem by taking a file to the corner of the flagstop but the point is I shouldn't have to.
The first photo probably shows the gap the best.
Has anyone else noticed this?
