Hello Gentlemen,
have You any ideas how perfectly, safety mount of1400 to mft3?

I saw this on Chris's channel  Toolify and I like it, but of1400 is more powerfull and havier than of1100.

So,  thank You for your answers.
Take care, bye

There's a fellow who occasionally posts great videos on here (and much more on Youtube), who has his router mounted to the MFT.  You might want to ask him [member=43117]Toolify[/member]

Here it is in operation:

Hey guys! Thanks for the mention [member=37411]Edward A Reno III[/member]

To clarify, the router in my workbench is the DW611.

I shot this video about the setup:

What I most enjoy about the DW611 is that cut depth is adjustable via a screw-like mechanism on the router. The Festool OF-series machines would be a little tricky to adjust when mounted upside down. I reserve the Festool routers for out-of-table use (in my opinion, that's where the really shine!!).

The larger brother to the DW611 is the DW618. But as you note, like the OF1400, it's a much heavier and more powerful machine and the last thing you want is this router falling off the MFT mid-cut [scared] because the forces become too much for the MDF to bear.

Based on my experience with the DW611, if I want a more powerful MFT-based router table I would purchase a router mounting plate like this one (http://www.woodpeck.com/aluminsert.html) and make a cutout for that on the MFT.
