MFT on wheels ?

I have searched around the site and have not seen any body that adds on to the MFT that uses the legs from it. I was thinking up making a base for it with wheels so that it can move it around and it will raise it up a bit as I feel it's a little to low for my liking. Also I was thinking of putting a small sys port on the end of it to make it stronger and that would make the table larger also. Just I thought I had. Really not sure on how to make the table attach to the base yet with the legs on it. Looking for ideas. Thanks

There was a guy named Eli, I  believe on talkfestool that did a great job modifiing an mft with wheels.  It might take some time searching but it was a slick setup.

Thanks for the reply. I did go over to it and try to find it but the search tool does not work as well as this site. I pick MFT and it comes up with nothing. Kind of strange. I'll keep looking.

I went to talkfestool.  The member was Elji Fuller.  There is a thread there where Elji posted ideas and a ton of images in an album.  The links to those images don't seem to work anymore.  It appears that Elji ended up deleting all of the images.

When I was looking for ideas about this a year ago (coincidentally having come from a Triton table with those cool drop-down wheels), searching for "MFT sled" and also you might want to check out this thread.

The thing that held me back from the sled idea was that it would make the table higher than the 900mm "standard" height that I have on other moveable islands as well.

Some others also complain about the stability of the MFT on the standard legs, so making another base that removes the standard legs from the equation solves this as well.

You could also consider:
- putting levellers on the sled so that you can level it out and immobilise it
- allowing a little bit more space and shim the MFT to final height - this is easier than getting it too high and sanding down
