mft packages

Any particular reason why the mft isn't available in more packages.

I would really like to see one paired up with the routers as I already have a CT.

I tried to find the I wish Festool offered blah blah blah post to put this in but didnt have any luck finding it.

The MFT is designed as a crosscut and assembly table. So, it's best suited for applications using the TS saw. That's why it's packaged with the TS only. Granted, you can use the guide rail with the routers and jigsaws but you don't need the rail mounted to a table for these purposes. The rail could just be laid on the material along the routing path.

Darcy, that's something we've discussed off and on but never seemed to pull the trigger on. Let me bring it up again and see what happens.

Anyone else interested in something like that? An MFT/3 Basic with an assortment of clamps.

I really like the idea of a mft/3 clamp package. I already own an mft/3 and really could use another one, if it's in my price range I would deffinaty pick one up.

Yes indeed... the workbench that I built with lots of clamping features is now used mostly to hold stuff that I'm using on the MFT.

Whoa, slow down. This is just an idea at this point. There's no guarantee it will even happen. And, if it does, it will be next year some time at the earliest.

I would be interested in a MFT and Clamp package.  I already have an MFT and TS.  However, I need another but don't need the accessories.  Clamp package would be cool.

Why not come up with some way that the customer defined the package. Something like, buy the MFT/3 and $500 of additional Festool products and get $xx of the package.

That way the customer decides what the package is.

I got bought an MFT/3 and a MFT basic, I'm regretting getting basic i should have spent the extra money for the rail and clamps, Yes i would love to see a package with a good set clamps because that's where it really shine.

The MFT packaged with some clamps doesn't sound bad, but as I read this, it is not what the OP was looking for.  Like the OP, I would like to see the MFT, whether basic or complete setup, offered bundled with some of the other tools like is currently done with the TS saws.  Having combo deals where you can get a discount on a CT when you buy another tool is nice once, or maybe twice, but how many CTs does one really need.  So, offering combo deals of a tool and a MFT would entice more to purchase that second, or third MFT...
