I had some shop time today to play with the lath so I make a set of table dogs up. I taped the dogs with the same as the festool 8 mm x 1.25 knobs from the clamps. I use delrin for my material. I like using it as it machines easy and the clean up is a snap with the shop Vac. I made them for squaring up the fence as I seem in the videos here.

I'm no master machinist but it fun to play around. I used to run a lath back in the early 90's in a hydraulic shop for a couple of years. I don't use it a whole lot but it's nice to have it for little things like this.  For the price they are asking for the quas dogs one can't beat that. I'm sure they are using a CNC lath and spit them out in 10 minutes. These take me a little while longer. So it's just not time effective to compete with them.  With my time , material and shipping I would be more than them I'm afraid. I may make a few more and see if I can cut some time off as the first set always takes longer.
