MFT too high

I'm 5'4" and find that the table is a bit too high for comfort. I can use it but it would be better if it were shorter. Has anyone tried shortening the legs an inch or two?

I cut the legs on my two Mats and also my saw horses to match up with my table saws.

Instead of cutting the legs you could swap with someone who has the MFT-1080. It has shorter legs. The 1080 isn’t compatible with the newer MFT outrigger type accessories but if you cut the legs down on the table they won’t match either.

[member=3611]SGreenberg[/member] Do you use the MFT on site or in shop only?

For in shop only you can build an MFT cart like several people did here where the legs are folded and still be used on site. Dick did an excellent cart here

Could you build a platform to stand on rather than cut up the MFT? My wife is 5’ even so I understand the problem.

I've been planning to lower my old mft800 for years now. I hope I get round to it soon (it's way low on my list priority wise)
I'm 6'2" but the thing that bothers me is that with the mft-kapex the bed of the kapex should be the same height as the cs70 and the mft3, but on the old mft800 it's a bit higher (20mm or so). Which means I have to prop up the cs70 if I want to use the trimstops that came with my kapex EB set.
I already cut the legs of one of the trimstops.

I haven't lowered the mft yet, but I did replace the rubber feet of my cs70 before, and I learned that you should heat them up before you can reinstall them. (I put them in a bowl with just boiled water, hot enough to make them maleable enough without overheating them.) Seems easy enough, remove the three rubber feet, slide off the rubber sleave of the adjustable one, find a way to get the plastic thing out of the adjustable leg (on my mft3 that was easy, when I was fixing the issue of it not staying at the adjusted height I noticed it could rotate inside the leg, and I put a small bolt through it). Cut an equal length of all 4 legs and reinstall.

I cut the legs of all of my MFT/3 tables so the table height is 880mm. Super easy, just pop the feet off, and subtract an equal amount from each leg (including the adjustable leg). The legs are steel, so just use a angle grinder, jig saw or circular saw with and appropriate blade.
