Hi FOG,
First question.
Can someone please tell me what the distance is (mm) from the front/side edges of an MFT top to the first row of holes? (see pic)
Thank you so much.

If I remember rightly the MFT3 top is 1102 mm x 707 mm. There are 11 holes across the width and 7 holes fore and aft. The holes are 96 mm between centres. Therefore the distance between the centre of the first hole in a row to the last hole is 960 mm. The distance between the centre of the top hole in a column to the bottom one is (6 x 96) 576 mm.

The distance from the edge of the top to the centre of the nearest hole along a row is therefore:

  (1102 - 960) / 2  = 71 mm

The distance from the edge of the top to the centre of the nearest hole in a column is:

  (707 - 576) / 2  = 65.5 mm

But you can lay the top out in many different ways but remember that  there is a 15 mm wide flange under the MFT3 top around the edges.

Thank you Grev, woodferret and Peter for the prompt responses. (Love your videos Peter and references to Mechano :))

After doing the math again and measuring an actual table, the distance from the edge of an MFT to the edge of a hole is 61mm
(And according to Grev's PDF, 60.9mm)

Here's the math: (at least the way I look at it)

Horizontally an MFT = 1102mm
11 holes @ 20mm with 96mm centers.
So that's 10x96mm = 960mm + 10mm +10mm = 980mm
1102mm-980mm=122mm / 2 sides = 61mm from the bottom edge to the bottom of the holes.

And the same vertically = 718mm.
7 holes @ 20mm with 96mm centers.
6x96mm=576mm + 10mm + 10mm = 596mm
718mm-596mm=122mm / 2 sides = 61mm from a side edge to a column of holes.
